Host
Lake Ontario Fruit ProgramLaunching the 2020 peel SAP project with CCE LOF this July (please register and attend the webinar on Tuesday July 14, noon-1pm, see above for more details):
We are launching the peel SAP test in the Lake Ontario Fruit region this season. If you participate in this project you will receive information on nutrient ratios (K/Ca and N/Ca) for your Honeycrisp blocks before harvest which will allow better decisions on postharvest management. We also believe that this new and early predictive tool, offered for the first time to our industry, will allow for more effective management of Honeycrisp fruit nutrition to reduce bitter pit incidence. For more details about this extension effort, please review an article to be published in the coming issue of LOF newsletter this week.
To submit a peel sample of SAP analysis please fill out a form for each sample. Eletronic and printable versions pdf of the submission form are available below. To fill out an eletronic version of the form and submit, you must use Internet Explorer -OR- save the form and open with Adobe Acrobat Reader -OR- use the pdf emailed by Craig on 16Jul2020.
