CCE ENYCHP Agriculture Specialists will be offering a training to review core concepts and commodity specific items in preparation for the exam.

2019 Hudson Valley Pesticide Applicator Pre-Exam Training Day 1

This CCE training in not a substitute for the required 30-hour training class. CCE supplemental training is available only to those who already meet the education and/or experience requirements and are therefore qualified to sit for the Private Applicators Certification Exam.

All participants must have experience working on their own farm, or though employment on another farm. Any questions on exam eligibility will be answered by your regional DEC representatives.

The exam date is Friday, March 22 from 9am-1pm. Fee for the exam is $100 payable to DEC the day of the exam.

The certification exam will be administered by the NYS DEC to qualified applicants. Potential test takers must verify their eligibility with the DEC prior to taking this class.

Each student should purchase the "Core Manual" for $41, and the either the Fruit Manual #22, or

Pesticide Applicator Certification Exam Prep Course

January 13 - January 14, 2026

Join ENYCHP specialists for an in-depth review of topics covered on the NYS DEC pesticide applicator certification exam. This two-day virtual course includes explanation of key concepts on the core exam, test-taking tips for the core and category exam, practice questions, and Q&A with instructors. Course materials, including program recordings, practice exams, and DEC materials will be available to registrants after the program. This training is geared toward certification categories 1A (agricultural plant), 21 (field and forage), 22 (fruit), and 23 (vegetable).
