Time

Location

Lake Ontario Fruit Program

You are invited to participate in a Virtual Listening Session with Agralytica who is working under contract for USDA's Risk Management Agency (RMA).

Why? We want your feedback about potential revenue coverage options for apples.

When? There are several sessions throughout late April and mid-May. The sessions are by area of the U.S. and by stakeholder group (grower, insurance provider, etc.). We request that you attend the session for your appropriate group; however, we realize the schedule may not be conducive to your availability, so please feel free to join us at another session. Our contact information is also provided in the instructions if you are unable to make the scheduled sessions but still want to provide feedback.

Who? The sessions are for apple growers and their representatives in the federal crop insurance industry. Additionally, if someone you know is interested but unlikely to receive email notification, please share this invitation if they are a representative of the stakeholder group.

What is a virtual listening session? It is a method to connect and talk with you via phone or internet connection. This means that you can participate by calling into the number provided to listen or speak OR you may call in and participate online which allows you to view the presentation as well. The information to participate is provided in the instructions that follow.

Does this impact my crop insurance apple policy? NO, this is NOT a session on your existing apple policy. This session is to discuss the feasibility of adding revenue coverage to the risk management portfolio of options for apple growers.

For New York State stakeholders the sessions will be:

  1. April 28th at 9am for NYS Apple Growers
  2. May 4th 9am for East Coast Insurance Agents
  3. May 5th 3pm for East Coast Insurance Providers and Adjusters

They are requesting that discussion and feedback for individual sessions come primarily from the target audience for that session.
