Soil Health & Cover Crop Workshop
June 30, 2016Sponsored by the Western New York Soil Health Alliance, a farmer-to-farmer network, this meeting will discuss soil health basics and why to start cover cropping.
Keynote speaker Jeff Rasawehr of Centerseeds and the Cover Crop Ranch Meat Company will focus on how to develop a profitable approach to managing soil health with cover crops. Jeff uses no till and cover crops on 900 acres on his Ohio farm.
A farmer panel with show and discuss on-farm trials.
The Cornell Vegetable Program's Darcy Telenko will talk about the Cornell Climate Smart Farming Program and the new tools available to help manage your crops.
