This meet-up will focus on marketing. Come tour Bowman's Orchard in Rexford, NY. We are looking forward to seeing you! Please register soon so we can make sure to have enough materials on-hand. We will provide everyone who registers with a resource guide to farm marketing!
In 2004 Kevin, his wife Martha, and their 3 children bought the farm from their parents, Ray and Bev, and took over full responsibilities of running the operation. Since the purchase in 2004 Kevin and his family have been working hard at improving and expanding the business each and every year! Kevin and Martha are now sharing operation of the farm with their children, Kristal, Kenny, and Katie and their spouses. They hope to one day pass along ownership of the farm to the 3rd generation so they can then pass it along to the 4th generation!
The Bowman's have a farm store, U-Pick berries, sunflowers, apples and pumpkins as well as a commercial apple orchard. We encourage you to check out their website (Bowman Orchards).

Do you have an idea for a new enterprise to add value to your farm? Maybe you're considering scaling up for a potential market opportunity but just aren't sure if it's a good fit for your business. Join Cornell Cooperative Extensions of Allegany County, Broome County, Madison County, Onondaga County, Niagara County, Tioga County, the Niagara Small Business Development Center, and the Eastern NY Commercial Horticulture Team for a hybrid series on Wednesdays in February, starting on February 4th that will answer these questions and more. Annie's Project seeks to empower farm women through education, networks and resources. We welcome, and encourage, learning and sharing amongst farm women as we help you grow as decision-makers and leaders on your farm.
