Learn how to use social media effectively in your farm business.  All webinars will be recorded and links shared. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Sessions will be held (see specific dates below) from noon to 1:30. Pesticide credit(s) will be available for indicated sessions. Pre-registration is required. Please be advised, those seeking pesticide recertification credits must log in to the session individually so that we can show proof off attendance to the certifying agencies. When logging in, be sure your screen name matches the name on your license. 

Agriculture Specialists Mike Stanyard and Janet van Zoeren will offer "Pre-Exam Coaching" in March to help sprayer operators prepare for the exam in Orleans County on March 21st. 

This training is only for those with experience and does not qualify for the 30-hour official DEC training - you are exempt from the 30 hour training (and eligible for this coaching session) if you have pesticide application experience, either through working on your own farm or through employment on another farm.

No DEC recertification credits.

All participants will need to have the most recent Core Manual (3rd Edition) and Category Manuals. Manuals are available for purchase at https://www.cornellstore.com/b...

Voy a ofrecer un "grupo de estudio guiado" durante las tardes de los dias 14 y 18 Marzo, para acompañar el curso en Ingles (vea el folleto adjunto), para ayudar a cualquier persona que más o menos entienda Ingles pero todavia tiene dificultades para comprender el vocabulario complejo y las estructuras de frases necesarias para entender las preguntas del examen en Ingles.

Las sesiones de estudio en las tardes son gratis, pero requiero que tambien asista a las sesiones de la mañana en Ingles ($ 50 por ambos días, vea el folleto en ingles para registrarse). I will be offering a "guided study group" in the afternoons on March 14 and 18th, to go along with the course in English (see attached flyer), to help anyone who understands basic English but struggles to understand the complex vocabulary and sentence structures necessary to pass the exam questions.

The afternoon study sessions will be free, but I require you to also attend morning sessions in English ($50 for both days, see flyer to register for English training). You will need to register for the afternoon study group by emailing me (jev67@cornell.edu).

Both the morning English and afternoon Spanish sessions will be at the Orleans CCE office (12690 NY31, Albion NY).

Interested in taking the NYSDEC Pesticide Applicator's exam?

 We will be joined by a NYSDEC representative who will go over the process of applying for and taking the exam, and will stay for a Q+A session to answer all of your questions about how to obtain and maintain your license. Afterward, CCE educators will cover the basic material of the Core exam, practice exam questions, test-taking tips, and provide take-home study materials.
